CENTURION AUTO TRANSPORT AND CDN TO PRESENT JOINT INITIATIVE AT AHAA EXPO
Dean Pearson, COO of Centurion Auto Transport and Wayne Pollock Managing Director of CDN will be speaking at the 2nd annual Auto Haulers Association of America Expo (AHAA) about a Carrier Data Exchange initiative.
Driven by the demands of OEMs and Trip leasing, carriers needed an easy and cost effective way to push loads & ePoD data to and from each other’s Transport Management Systems (TMS). Not surprisingly, Carrier’s don't all use the same logistics systems (TMS) or ePoD data collection solutions. Dean Pearson of Centurion Auto Transport is spearheading the standardization of a low cost and secure method of data transfer between any carrier’s TMS system.
When multiple parties are involved in logistics it is increasingly important that everyone can ‘talk to each other in the same language’ and in real-time at every stage of the vehicle delivery process e.g. railways processing electronic paperless exit from railheads, carriers trip leasing and subcontracting loads, dealers viewing inbound deliveries.
A growing number of US Auto haulers large and small are now signatories to CDx, a real time Carrier Data exchange service built by CDN for all Carriers.
Today, CDN cloud apps have made it easy for carriers to ‘connect once’ to send and receive data which includes, job details, destination, images, documentation, damage reports, signatures all in real time. ‘The Carrier Data exchange provided by CDN is the natural extension and will bring immense operational value to the auto carriers and our respective customers’ said Dean Pearson.
Taking place 8-10 November in Phoenix, Pearson and CDN hope to use the Expo as a platform to spread the word about the advantages of CDx in providing carriers and OEMs with fully compliant visibility and reporting of car deliveries from start to finish.
